Stainless Brake Lines This is a new 3/16" stainless steel brake line bent and flared by hand.
Stainless Brake Lines Because this line does not have the OEM armor coiled around it I used PVC tubing that fits the lines nicely. The PVC tubing prevents rubbing in the brake line clamps.
Stainless Brake Lines Coiled and ready to connect to the proportioning valve.
Stainless Brake Lines DOT approved braided stainless steel brake hose.
Stainless Brake Lines The original driver side brake line with a short piece rotted away.
Stainless Brake Lines New stainless inplace and ready to connect.
Stainless Brake Lines The original line clamp shimmed with with PVC tubing (a.k.a 3/16" i.d. tygon).
Stainless Brake Lines Front brake lines are both ready to connect to the proportioning valve.
4L60e Trans Cooler Lines The original trans cooler lines were in tough shape. If they were usable the swap THM350 to 4L60e would have been one for one.
4L60e Trans Cooler Lines I used the old THM350 lines as a model to bend these two lines.
4L60e Trans Cooler Lines They both follow the same path and bend for bend match all the way to the radiator.
4L60e Trans Cooler Lines It looks like a tight fit but there is plenty of room between the headers and the cooler lines.
4L60e Trans Cooler Lines Bend for bend matches.
4L60e Trans Cooler Lines Again bend for bend matches.
4L60e Trans Cooler Lines This where the trans cooler lines will diverge. I added an auxilary trans cooler. 4L60e transmission benefit from extra cooling. Max transmission life occurs at a fluid temp of 170 degrees F.
4L60e Trans Cooler Lines That hole is for the bumper brace. The aux trans cooler lines will also fit through there.
4L60e Trans Cooler Lines The trans cooler belongs on a 3/4 ton Chevy truck, so it should work nicely for a car. There is 1/8" clearance between the tubing and the header brace.
4L60e Trans Cooler Lines Can't really tell but there is clearance between the brace and tube.
4L60e Trans Cooler Lines Look at the size of that thing. It is a tight fit.
4L60e Trans Cooler Lines Here a shot that shows the size compared to the radiator (about 25%).
4L60e Trans Cooler Lines Trans fluid flow path. Hot fluid into the bottom of the radiator, cooled fluid exits the top of the radiator cooler and enters the bottom of aux trans cooler exiting the top and returning to the transmission fully cooled.
4L60e Trans Cooler Lines Header installed just to check for interferences, none seen!!!
4L60e Trans Cooler Lines Close up of the cooler throught the grill.
Stainless Steel Lines Passenger side brake line. This line goes across the axle to the block at the flex line.
Stainless Steel Lines There was a lot of bends in this line as it crosses the pumkin.
Stainless Steel Lines Crossing the pumkin.
Stainless Steel Lines Connecting to the driver's side at the flex line.
Stainless Steel Lines Now into the wheel cyclinder, and that's all folks.
