Driver's Side Quarter Skin ON Initial fit is a little tight alaong the door.
Driver's Side Quarter Skin ON This is a better shot of the tight fit. I ran the cut-off wheel along the seam to open it up a bit.
Driver's Side Quarter Skin ON Another shot of the door jamb to quarter fit. The gap starts to become normal size, notice the clamp. I had to remove the door jamb vent an stick my arm in there to get the clamps in place. The door jamb vent is a really tight fit.
Driver's Side Quarter Skin ON Here are a few more inches that are a little tight. Cut-off wheel will widen the gap.
Driver's Side Quarter Skin ON A little glare but between the two butt weld clamps the panels actually touch.
Driver's Side Quarter Skin ON This shot is a little out of focus but the gap is much smaller than it appears.
Driver's Side Quarter Skin ON There is welded 100% and it took quite a while.
Driver's Side Quarter Skin ON This was my first quarter panel skin and there is some warpage in a couple of spots along the weld area. With a little streching they should disappear.
Driver's Side Quarter Skin ON The warpage is not as bad as it looks in the photos. With a straight edge they are maybe 1/16" deep depressions, with the largest one is about the size od a 1/2 dollar.
Driver's Side Quarter Skin ON Body line matches up very nicely.
Driver's Side Quarter Skin ON The trunk extension is in and was a perfect fit, view from the trunk opening.
Driver's Side Quarter Skin ON This shot shows the trunk extension from inside the wheel well opening. The spot welds are competed, I just don't have a picture yet.
Driver's Side Quarter Skin ON 6 hours of welding later, one happy guy. Now onto the passenger's side.
