Check Engine Light

Check Engine Lamp This is my check engine lamp. It is also a push button so pressing this button will put the ECU into diagnostic mode.

The push button only had 3 tabs so the lamp can be on all the time or when the button is pressed. This harness has a circuit that allows the PCM to control the lamp (more to follow).

Lighted pushbutton This is the lighted puck button I got from Radio Shack. The lamp is an LED.

Harness Connector I had some female USB connectors from another project so I use one here too.

Check Engine logo This is the Check Engine Logo I used.

I installed the check engine lamp/button in the lighter socket to see what it would look like. It will be moved to the defrost location since I do not have a rear window defroster.
