Appears as thought the engine was overhauled. The cylinders still have the criss cross hash marks from honing. Also the head gaskets were thin shim steel type. The cylinders measure 3.736 inches and this is the stock bore. This engine has a stock compression ratio of 8.5:1 and made 145 HP and 245 FT-LB of torque. The goal after rebuild is compression ratio 9.5:1 and make 330 HP with 320 FT-LB of torque.

Engine Tear Down Crud in the cylinders was knocked in from the head removal.

A little rust in the cyclinder. It wipes right off. Everything will be oiled to prevent rusting until engine is completely rebuilt.
